Christmas generosity abounded, with gifts pouring in from every corner. Highlights included a set of wooden blocks, a United States map puzzle, and a Little People Christmas book for Cal, and a piggy bank, stacking puzzle, and Christmas outfit for Maggie. I was moved to tears by a new coffee maker and an accompanying travel mug (which straps to your backpack!). The kicker was the gift from TA and Annie – a week’s vacation at a swinging beachfront home in Cape Cod this summer. I couldn’t possibly list all the gifts bestowed upon us here, but suffice to say that we were thoroughly bowled over by the munificence of everyone who thought to include us in their bigheartedness, including Dr. and Mrs. Glowski, Paul and Jane Frank, Dale and Gerry, Liz and Tom Fear, Tommy, Kieran, Jack and Chase, and Jules, Anna, and Algirdas. Really, I couldn’t begin to express our gratitude here on this forum.
Besides the physical gifts, it was a treat to be able to spend a few quality minutes with friends and family – an occurrence that presents itself with alarming infrequency. Time spent in the company of Ruby, Nora, Gary, ML, Courtney, Christina, and Father Peter is always something to treasure, and this Christmas was no exception.
So, to all that helped make this Christmas special, and those whom we missed spending quality time with, we thank you and wish you the happiest of holidays.
