$29, wasted

Image Hosted by ImageShack.us
This is Hideki Matsui. I spent $29 of my $270 fantasy draft dollars on him, hoping that his dependability would round out an otherwise pedestrian lineup of 27 players. Neither flashy nor extravagant, Matsui had, before today, appeared in 1,768 consecutive professional games. His reliability was his strength. He wouldn't belt 50 dingers or steal 25 bags, but he would give you enough in every category to keep you in the ballgame because he played every day. But today he broke his wrist on the play pictured above. Stupid fantasy baseball, you are a cursed mistress, indeed.

Get well soon, Hideki. Real soon.

he WAS money. sorry for you. I've enjoyed four jerks on the DL recently: Roberts, Lopez, Hermedia and Lieberthal. Quit your whining!
