Glenn Tilbrook at Maxwell's

Katie and I decided to celebrate our wedding anniversary at Maxwell's in Hoboken on Sunday night with some music from a favorite live act of ours - former Squeeze frontman Glenn Tilbrook. Babysitter, check. Schedule cleared with next day off for recovery purposes, check. Tickets in hand, check. One thing we didn't check? The calendar. We made it to Maxwell's on Sunday night as long-planned, but it turns out the show was on Monday night - December 11. Seriously. Somehow I purchased the tickets weeks in advance and convinced myself that the show was on Sunday. I never bothered to actually look at the date on those tickets, though. We managed to laugh off the embarrassment and make the best of the evening, but sadly Katie couldn't make it to Hoboken when Glenn Tilbrook really was performing at Maxwell's the next night. The closest she would come was a copy of his DVD and a few pictures from the show.

I did that three summers ago. Went from Westerly to Hartford to watch the USMNT play somebody. Couldn't figure out why the traffic was so light. Pulled in to the stadium to realize the match wsa the next night.
Doh!
