At the marathon in Central Park, NY, 11/2/08.
This was the leader of the NYC Marathon as he passed our spot in Central Park near the 24th mile.
He was in second place when we saw him just after he entered Central Park, but Marilson Gomes dos Santos went on to win the race.

Was that an exciting race or what? Goucher was very impressive for USA in women's race. Paula is still knock out queen of New York in this era.
Good showing by American men in top 10 too. Too bad Ritz and Hall weren't running.
